LARRY – Colonel H Larry Elman, Dave Elman (Larry’s Father) is acknowledged as one of the founders of Modern Hypnosis, along with Milton Erickson. And between them have driven all the different forms of formal hypnosis we have today. Larry is one of the last people alive to have had a direct connection to Dave Elman, and he will talk about his father from definitely an insider look! Larry took his father’s course several times before attending MIT. During careers in engineering and the Air Force, Larry had to restrict his hypnosis activities. Now CEO of the Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute (“DEHI”), he lectures and teaches hypnosis internationally, as well as writing on hypnosis subjects, and producing CDs and DVDs demonstrating Dave Elman’s medical hypnosis methods. Larry teaches Hypnosis Certification Courses for Hypnosis societies Association, and provides courses in more advanced hypnosis subjects.

CHERYL Cheryl J. Elman CH, CMT, BS Ed, Accredited SleepTalk® Trainer and president of the Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute. She has trained and presented in 18 countries on 5 continents along with her husband, H Larry Elman. Living with his son, has provided Cheryl with insight into who Dave Elman was and his methods beyond merely books. WHO WAS DAVE ELMAN??

When people talk about great hypnotists of the 20th century, two names come to mind. Milton Erickson… and Dave Elman. They have equal stature. This is surprising because Erickson published dozens of books and papers on hypnosis and was actively promoted by his followers who wrote dozens of books about Erickson, but Elman published only one book, “Findings in Hypnosis” (later published as “Hypnotherapy”). Why is Dave Elman held in such high esteem? His induction is that good! Erickson’s inductions could take a very long time, but Elman would place a subject into deep trance in less than a minute! Elman published only one book, but that ONE book had such an impact that many consider Elman to be the greatest hypnotist of all time.
